Ingredients
- Beef, 2-lbs
- Coriander powder, 1-2 teaspoon
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- white pepper, 1 teaspoon
- Sugar, ½ teaspoon
- Fish sauce, 3-4 tablespoon
- Soya sauce, 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil, ½ cup
- Chili flakes to garnish
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the beef pieces by patting them dry and slicing them into desired shapes. Set it aside and begin to season the beef pieces.
Step 2
Add oil and coriander powder to a mixing bowl. Add cayenne powder and white pepper to the seasoning mixture to give your beef jerky a spicy tang. Then, combine the ingredients by hand to form the seasoning.
Step 3
Add the prepared sliced beef pieces to the mixing bowl and pestle the garlic cloves to enhance the flavour of the gravy seasoning. Ensure that the beef pieces are coated with a marinated layer on top.
Step 4
Before frying the beef, store it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours so the seasoning settles down. In a frying pan, pour vegetable oil and heat over medium heat.
Step 5
Fry the seasoned beef pieces on both sides for 5-6 minutes in the heated oil. Make sure to flip the meat frequently to prevent excessive burning.
