To make wonton in chili sauce, here are some easy steps to follow and tease your tastebuds
Juicy Pork & Shrimp Wonton Filling
Step 1
Just chop off the white part of the scallion and put it in a container with a few ginger slices and 1 tbsp of Sichuan peppercorn. Pour in 1 cup of boiling hot water and let it soak for about 5 minutes. This spiced water will be used to marinate the pork filling.
Step 2
Chop 12oz of shrimp into small pieces. Just a heads up, ensure the shrimp is fully deveined; otherwise, it might taste poorly.
Step 3
Add 1.5 pounds of ground pork and some chopped shrimp in a bowl. For flavor, sprinkle in 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of white pepper, 1 tsp of Chinese five spices, 1 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, and 1 tbsp of sesame oil. And remember to crack 1 egg into the mix!

Drain out the spiced water and pour ⅓ cup into the pork mix. Stir it until the pork soaks it all in, then add more. (You can do this thrice, adding ⅓ cup each time.) Once you’ve added all the water, give it a good mix.
Step 5
Add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to the filling and mix well. Then sprinkle some chopped scallions and pour hot oil over them. Mix until the scallions’ oil is fully absorbed.
Wrapping Wontons

Put a teaspoon of filling right in the middle of the wrapper.

Just dip your finger in water and wet the sides of the square. The water acts like glue, making the sides stick together.

Fold it in half, then wet one of the bottom corners, twist it, and stick it together with another corner.
