- Corn Flakes cereal (crushed), 1 cup
- Butter (melted), 2 tablespoons
- Ground beef, 1 ½ pound
- Medium onion (diced), 1
- Celery (diced), 1 medium stalk
- Corn, (drained) 1 can (15 oz)
- Condense cream of mushroom soup, 1 can (10.5 oz)
- Condense cream of celery soup, 1 can (10.5 oz)
- Milk, 1 cup
- Russet potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced), 2 pounds
- Cheddar cheese (grated), 8 oz
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
Step By Step Instructions To Make Pioneer Woman Hamburger Potato Casserole
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
Step 2
In a small bowl combine crushed Corn Flakes with melted butter and set it aside.
Step 3
Cook the beef, onion, and celery in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain well. Combine the corn with the beef mixture.
Step 4
Add Condense cream of mushroom soup, Condense cream of celery soup and milk to a bowl and whisk together.
Step 5
Place half of the beef mixture in an even layer in the baking dish. Place half of the potatoes on top, season with salt and pepper, and pour half of the soup mixture over the potatoes.
Step 6
Spread half of the cheese over. Repeat the layers one more time, ending with the cheese.
Step 7
Wrap the casserole in foil and bake in the oven for one hour.
Step 8
Remove the foil, sprinkle with buttered Corn Flakes, and return to the oven for about 15 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the potatoes are tender.
