- Ripe bananas (mashed) , 4
- Unsalted butter (melted), 1/2 cup
- Toasted pecans (chopped), 1 cup
- Granulated sugar, 1/2 cup
- Baking soda, 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon
- Fine salt, 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg (Freshly grated), 1/4 teaspoon
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- Buttermilk, sour cream or yogurt, 1/4 cup
- Light brown sugar, 1/2 cup
- Pure vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it gently with butter.
