How to make a Pasta Weesie
This recipe makes me so happy to share with you. My family loved it when I made it for the first time! It’s a great side dish or even the main course if you add some protein, such as mushrooms or chicken.
Ingredients
- Cooked Fettuccine pasta (finely cooked as per package directions), 6 oz.
- Grated Romano cheese, 3 oz.
For Cream sauce
- Butter (soften at room temperature), 1 Tbsp
- Garlic (finely minced), 1 Tbsp
- White wine, 1 tsp of
- Grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup
- Garlic salt, 2 tsp
- Heavy cream, 1/3 cup
For Lemon Butter Shrimp
- Shrimp, peeled, deveined, 1/2 lb
- Green onions, chopped, 1 cup
- Garlic, minced, 2 Tbsp
- Mushrooms, in small pieces, 1/4 cup of
- Butter, 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice, 1/2 tsp
Instructions
Preparing the Cream Sauce
Step 1:
Add 1 tbsp of butter to a medium saucepan. Let it melt over medium heat.
Step 2:
Stir for 30 seconds with 1 tbsp minced garlic.
Step 3:
Pour in 1/3 cup of heavy cream and stir well. Keep stirring occasionally.
Step 4:
On low heat, simmer the sauce for 10 minutes. When the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat.
Step 5:
Add 1 tsp white wine vinegar, 1/2 cups of grated parmesan, and 2 tsp garlic salt after 10 minutes.
Step 6:
Stir them with thickened sauce for 5 minutes or until smooth.
Step 7:
After that, mix the cooked fettuccine well in the prepared sauce.
Preparing the Lemon Butter Shrimp
Step 1:
Melt 1/4 cups of butter in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Do not allow the butter to brown.
Step 2:
Add 1/3 tsp of lemon juice and 2 tsp of minced garlic. Melt butter and saute for 30 seconds.
Step 3:
Sauté for 30 seconds or more with 1 cup of diced green onions.
Step 4:
Then add 1/2 lb of shrimp and 1/4 cup of mushrooms. Allow the shrimp to cook for 5 minutes.
