  • 16 ounces strawberries tops removed (sliced)
  • 2 ounces of Hennessy
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry preserve or jam

Hennessy Whipped Cream

  • 1 ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons Hennessy

Step By Step Instructions To Make Hennessy Cake

Step 1

Cut in the fat after combining the dry ingredients. Mix dry ingredients until they resemble coarse cornmeal. Pour wet ingredients into a measuring cup measuring ¼  cup (spray with cooking spray or rub oil inside to prevent sticking) and drop onto the baking sheet. Once golden brown, place shortcakes in the oven for 12-15 minutes.

Step 2

Strawberries, Hennessy, and brown sugar will ferment for 10 minutes in a pot. Add other ingredients, turn heat to medium, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Then add the cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and Hennessy to the bowl. Using a medium-high speed, beat for 3 minutes.

Step 4

To assemble, cut shortcakes in half, then spoon strawberry preserve over the bottom biscuit. Top the biscuit with more whipped cream and a dollop of whipped cream, then top with the top half of the biscuit.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the corned beef in water and place it in the crockpot. Sprinkle the spice packet on the beef.
  • Put the onion on top and tuck the ends into the sides. Add the beef broth all around the pot.
  • Pour water into the can until it almost covers the brisket. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Add the carrots and potatoes three hours prior to serving. Finally, add the cabbage 30 minutes before serving.
  • Remove the corned beef from the slow cooker when it is fork-tender and let it rest for a few minutes.
