Air Fryer Temperature and Timing Chart for Frozen Tamales
Different sizes and types of frozen tamales require slight adjustments to cooking time and temperature for optimal results. Standard-sized corn husk tamales (4-5 inches) should be cooked at 350°F for 12-13 minutes total, flipping halfway through. Larger tamales (6+ inches) need 15-16 minutes at the same temperature to heat thoroughly. Mini tamales only require 8-10 minutes due to their smaller size. If your frozen tamales are wrapped in banana leaves instead of corn husks, reduce the cooking time by 2-3 minutes as banana leaves conduct heat more efficiently. Always check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F before serving. For extra crispy results, increase the temperature to 375°F during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remember that air fryer models vary in power, so these times are guidelines — start checking for doneness at the minimum time recommended.
