For The Dip

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish

For The Pickles

  • 2 cups dill pickles (drained and properly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • Kosher salt

Step By Step Instructions To Make Texas Roadhouse Fried Pickles

Step 1

Preheat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. When adding the pickles to the oil, measure its temperature using a thermometer.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and ketchup, and then add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and set aside.

Step 3

Add 1 1/2 inches of vegetable oil to a deep fryer or large deep pan and heat over medium heat. 

Step 4

Combine the flour, oregano, salt, pepper, basil, and Cajun seasoning in a medium bowl.

Step 5

To prepare pickles, they must be well-drained and sliced. Sprinkle the flour mixture on each slice, and if there is excess flour, shake it off.

Step 6

Add one slice of a pickle at a time. According to the size of the pot, you may need to fry them in two batches. It is not a good idea to fry them all at once as that may cause them to overlap. Ensure that there is enough room between them.

Step 7

Fry the pickle slices until crispy and golden brown, about two to three minutes. Place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil after removing them from the hot oil with a slotted spoon.

Step 8
