How To Make Outback Kookaburra Wings

Ingredients
- Chicken wings (small), 10
- Shortening, 48 oz
- All-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons
- Kraft Macaroni & Cheese cheddar, 1 tablespoon
- Salt, 1 1/4 teaspoons
- Chilli powder, 1 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper, 3/4 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika, 1/4 teaspoon
- Onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon
- Ground cumin, 1/8 teaspoon
- Dash ground clove
- Crystal Louisiana hot sauce, 2 tablespoons
- Water, 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Step 1
Heat the shortening to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine the wing coating ingredients in a medium bowl to create the spiced breading. Mix well.
Step 2
Dip each wing in the breading, one at a time. Coat each with the bread lightly. Spread the breaded wings on a plate and let them sit for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Lower the wings into the hot shortening or oil. Cook them until they are brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
Step 4
Mix the hot sauce with the water in a small bowl while the wings are frying.
Step 5
Dry the wings on paper towels or a wire rack for a moment after cooking. Transfer hot wings into a plastic container with a lid. Drizzle the sauce over the wings. Cover and gently shake the container to distribute the sauce evenly.
Step 6
Take the wings out of the container using tongs. Place them on a serving plate accompanied by bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.
