Ingredients
- Whole canned tomatoes (peeled and chopped), 4 cups
- Tomato juice, & broth mix of (50/50), 4 cups
- Basil leaves (chopped finely), 8
- Cream, 1 cup
- Unsalted butter (Sweet), 8 tablespoons
- Salt, 1⁄4 teaspoon
- Black pepper, 1⁄4 teaspoon
Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine tomatoes, tomato juice and broth and simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Blend basil with the puree. Ensure that this is smooth, strain it.
Step 3
Put the saucepan back on the stove. Melt the butter and cream while you stir over low heat. Enjoy!
