  • Packed brown sugar, ½ cup 
  • All-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon 
  • Water, 2 tablespoons 
  • 1 (9 inches) pie shell
  • All-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons 
  • White sugar, 3 tablespoons 
  • Butter, 2 tablespoons 

Step By Step Instructions To Make Ground Cherry Pie

Step 1

Achieve a temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) in the oven.

Step 2

Prepare a pie shell by washing ground cherries and placing them in it. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon brown sugar and flour over cherries. 

Step 3

Drizzle water over the top. Add 3 tablespoons sugar to 3 tablespoons flour. Mix until crumbly. Garnish cherry mixture with crumbs.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake another 25 minutes.
